Lists of the Most Effective SEO Tools
Here is the lists of my favorite SEO tools I used in maintaining my sites. There are a lot of SEO tools everywhere but after series of testings, I found the following tools suitable for my needs. It is advisable to use only a maximum of 2 tools in every category to avoid confusion. Using 5 tools in tracking your statistics may result different output so I advise you to use only the most effective tools.
The following tools are my personally-used tools
- Meta Tag Generator - This form will generate HTML META tags suitable for inclusion in your HTML document. These tags allow better indexing by robot-driven search engines, such as AltaVista, Infoseek and searchBC. elements.
- Meta Tag Analyzer - Analyzes your tags if they are robot friendly.
- Keyword Position Tool - Use the Search Engine Keyword Position Tool to check the search engine result pages of Google, Yahoo, and MSN to see what position your site holds for a particular keyword phrase.
- Google Keyword Analysis Tool - Use the Keyword Tool to get new keyword ideas.
- Backlink Checker - Detailed information about quality and quantity of backlinks pointing to your website. It will show you “anchor” text, pagerank, total outbound links on that page, and nofollow flag for each of your inbound link available.
- Dead link checker - The bot will visit your website and follow all links checking for their status. When finish you will see a report showing all the bad links found, not only 404 status.
- Page Rank checker - Page Rank Checker is a free tool to check Google™ page ranking of any web site pages easily and to display your site’s PageRank™ value on your web pages.
- Link Popularity Checker - The Link Popularity Checker tells you how many websites are linking to yours. Website popularity is an important factor in your search engine ranking. The more popular your site is, the better it will be ranked on the search engines.
- Webpage Analyzer - Web Page Analyser will read the page you specify, and put it through a few basic tests to see if qualifies as ’search-engine-friendly’ for the phrase you specify. It then gives a report on the good, and the bad points of the page in SEO terms.

Great information. SeoMoz is my favorite site of all of them because of the amount and quality of tools they have. I’ve never had the use for any meta generators, but thanks for those too.

This post seem to have it all. As a not so-technically inclined blogger, I wish I could understand all of them.
I am a E-referrer user but I think I should also try some of your personally used tools.
Thanks for sharing another great list, Raden.
